GUILDS ASKED TO

CO-OPERATE.

Several other gentlemen ad- dressed the meeting, and it was eventually decided that the meeting should invite all the guilds and associations in the colony to co-operate in breaking down the boycott. The represenTM tatives present, together with their friends, were asked to take the initiative by buying tram tickets. A committee was form- ed, and the members met yester- day morning to discuss ways and means, and there was also another meeting last night.

The representatives of the fol- lowing five districts,--Bowring- ton, Sokonpo, Shaukiwan East, Shaukiwan West and Quarry Bay-met the Executive Council yesterday morning. They made a similar request as the delega- tion which assembled on Wed- nesday morning, namely that an extension be granted, and this was again acceded. We under- stand that the period of grace is twelve days.
